Mt. Holyoke Music Faculty Raise Katrina Aid Money
Mount Holyoke's Music Department faculty will perform in a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. They will play selections by Brahms, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Richman and Vaughan Williams. The event will be Sunday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. in McCulloch Auditorium.
UMass Offers Nutitional Education to Low-Income Families
A program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst aims to provide low-income families with nutritional education. The Extension Nutrition Program is teaching "Choices: Steps Toward Health" to help people who receive food stamps make better nutritional choices by USDA food pyramid guidelines.
Amherst Adopts Mississippi Middle School
Amherst College is participating in relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina victims. The College is sponsoring D'Iberville Middle School through Mississippi's Adopt-A-School program.
