Myriad music acts have performed at Smith College over the years, including performers such as Lupe Fiasco, Feist and Boys Like Girls. Tonight at 10 p.m. in the Campus Center Goldstein Lounge, Boston's own Cahill will add its name to this list, taking the stage and entertaining students with their acoustic hits.

Cahill, an acoustic rock duo, is comprised of Scott O'Brien and Bob Antonelli. These two musicians were raised together in Billerica, Mass. and their performing career began early - O'Brien was four and Antonelli was seven. During their childhood, the two often performed in lively neighborhood lip-sync concerts, complete with choreography and Michael Jackson songs.

From there, O'Brien and Antonelli moved on to composition. Over time, they have gained notoriety through their presence in the renowned Faneuil Hall Street Performers Program and from their tours on the college campus circuit, performing throughout the Northeast and Midwest.

Antonelli explained why the duo loves participating in campus tours.

"Colleges are great because you never know what you are going to get. One day we show up and there are 200 people anxiously awaiting our arrival. The next, we are in a cafeteria playing for no one!"

Evidence of Cahill's success is visible when browsing the Internet. They have gained a substantial following on Pandora, iTunes and social networking sites.

Additionally, the band's music has been featured in commercials and their song "Until Then" appeared in The Real World Brooklyn.

Cahill is an apt choice for Smith's Jittery's Live show. On these nights, the CCAB transforms Goldstein Lounge into a makeshift coffeehouse. Here, students are invited to consume large amounts of coffee while taking in the sounds of talented performers.

Antonelli acknowledged that Cahill's music is ideal for a coffeehouse atmosphere. "We can slow it down and speed it up, depending on what the audience is in the mood for," he said.
