How long have you been involved with soccer?

I started playing soccer when I was five years old and I have been involved with it ever since. I am a four-year member of the Smith soccer team.

What are your thoughts on Smith soccer's season so far?

We finished our season off on Oct. 27, but I felt it was a great season. When we played our game and made the decision to fight on the field, we surprised a lot of teams and showed that we could play with anyone.

What is one thing that you think people might be surprised to learn about the game?

Soccer was originally called association football. "Soccer" is a corruption of "assoc" which is derived in turn from "association."

What is your favorite thing about soccer?

I love how the Smith soccer team is like a family, and we work so hard every day to compete for each other.

What is your favorite class you have taken at Smith so far and why?

Drawing II because the professor, Jane Lund, assigned really unique and challenging projects, which I feel helped me to improve a lot as an artist.

You're a studio art major. Could you tell us a little about your work?
