Squash drops match 5-4 to Northeastern

On Saturday Smith dropped a close match 5-4 to Northeastern, falling to 1-1 on the season. While losing in the one to five slots the Pioneers were victorious in the bottom four matches.

In the sixth spot senior Kelsey Radwilowicz triumphed over Casidy Need 3-0, while Catriona Blunt '12 and Su Fu '10 defeated Maria Isasi and Rosa Barney, respectively. All remain undefeated at 2-0 in matches this season.

Senior Andrea Shang picked up her first win of the year in the nine match, with a 3-0 win over Myriam Bau.

Smith junior Meg Oliverio dropped the number one match 3-0 to Huskies sophomore Tessa Martin, while Joanne Poon '12 lost 3-0 to Northeastern's co-captain Emily Raho. Number three Anna Reznickova '10 also dropped three sets to none to Diana Toubman.

Reznickova's fellow co-captain, junior Elizabeth Guyman, took one game from Oliva Simone but ultimately went down 3-1. Clair Oblamski '12 fell 3-0 to Katie O'Neill.

Pioneers Squash will return to the courts after Thanksgiving Break, traveling to Middletown, Conn., to face Wesleyan Dec. 5 and 6.
