What are your thoughts on the season so far?
The season has been interesting. We started off with a small group of really talented skiers and we really bonded quickly and had a blast. Over the past few weeks we have lost two skiers to injury so now we are down to three skiers! My hope for the rest of the season is for the three of us to ski the best we possibly can and make our injured skiers proud.

How long have you been involved with skiing?
I started skiing when I was three and started racing when I was 11. I grew up in Maine where ski mountains are really accessible and luckily my parents are really active and started me young. I started racing in middle school so I could ski every day at the mountain with my friends.

What is your favorite thing about skiing, and what is one thing that you think most people would be surprised to learn about the sport?
My favorite thing about skiing is going fast, of course, but I also love being outside every day on top of a beautiful mountain. You really can't beat it. People would be surprised to learn how expensive skiing is. I got my first job when I was 15 to pay for all my ski stuff and it hasn't stopped since!

What is your favorite class that you have taken at Smith so far and why?
West African Dance - I got to shake my booty for credit.

What music are you listening to currently?
The ski team enjoys rocking out to Miley Cyrus and we are not ashamed of it. I listen to "Party in the U.S.A." before every race to pump me up. I am also really digging Arcade Fire and Beirut at the moment when I need to chill out.

Who is the fictional character you most identify with?
Ludo from the movie the Labyrinth - you know, the big orangutan thing.
